Job Title: Associate – Legal Search & Consulting
Salary: Lucrative basic salary, annual bonus (team and personal)

Job Description
- Conduct detailed, high quality research into the law firm sector, mainly focussing on the EMEA region;
- Provide detailed insight (for internal and external use) on the investment flows within the private practice law firm sector;
- Assist with winning new mandates; this will involve preparing for pitches, drafting proposals and attending business development meetings to show our industry and geographic knowledge
- Project manage assignments, by delivering short lists to clients, reports and coordinating meetings and interviews on an international scale;
- Produce robust market maps, market overviews and research papers on market activity;
- Create and maintain relevant documents for a search assignment, including: feasibility studies, market feedback, proposals, terms of business, candidate reports, candidate briefings, client presentations, memos, offer documents and more.
- Cold call, meet and network within the target candidate group in a given practice areas or market;
- Keep accurate records of searches, candidates, meetings and coordinate relevant project management with clients.
- Working with our dedicated management consulting team, you will advise on and generate interesting management consulting and merger assignments in the geographies where we have expertise;
- Assist or lead presentations and advice to the board of law firms, particularly focussing on international strategy, expansion, restructuring and other relevant issues.
- Travel on specific projects and business development activities;
- Regular administration, budgeting, managing expenses and other duties to benefit the team.
Ideal Candidate
- You are likely to be a young professional with around 1 year’s work experience in a fast-paced, corporate environment;
- You will have excellent communication skills and able to influence a senior audience in person and on the phone
- You will be interested in the business and operations of a law firm (consulting)
- A genuine team player who is smart, ambitious, dynamic and able to influence a highly sophisticated client base;
- You will be organised, well presented and capable of developing business, providing advice to our clients and executing high profile assignments;
- European, Asian and Arabic Language skills are highly desirable for this position, but not a requirement.

Job Description
Business Development & Relationship management
- Generate and attend pitches to clients / target clients;
- Help to expand our client relationships in a multi-layered fashion where we look to build deep relationships across the management structure of law firms;
- Maintain a wide variety of discussions and contact with decision makers as we look to partner with law firms expanding into/in our core markets (Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East);
- Network at industry seminars, conferences and other events with a view to generating new relationships and deepening existing client relationships;
- Source and expand on commercial opportunities which are revenue generating for the business (with a strong emphasis on marketing the team and involving colleagues);
- Provide regular insight into your community by producing articles, thought leadership and materials that add value to our target contact base.
Execution
- Conduct detailed, high quality research into markets and practice areas; producing robust market maps, market overviews and research papers on market activity;

- Source interesting and relevant articles around a particular assignment and distribute relevant information to clients and candidates;
- Keep accurate records of searches, candidates, meetings and coordinate relevant project management with clients.
Consulting & Mergers
- Working with our dedicated management consulting team, you will advise on and generate interesting management consulting and merger assignments in the geographies where we have expertise;
- Assist or lead presentations and advice to the board of law firms, particularly focussing on international strategy, expansion, restructuring and other relevant issues.
Management & Others
- Our Principals are skilled experts who will work with Partners, other Principals, Associates, Researchers, and Administrative staff. This will require a genuine ability to work in teams where there will be various degrees of management;
- Assist and coordinate internal recruitment initiatives to source the best people in the market;
- Travel on specific projects and business development activities;Regular administration, budgeting, managing expenses and other duties to benefit the team.
Ideal Candidate
- You are likely to have between 3–7 years of executive search or recruitment experience in the legal or another professional service sector;
- We would also be open to individuals from a legal or consulting background who have international experience;
- A genuine team player who is smart, ambitious, dynamic and able to influence a highly sophisticated client base;
- You will be organised, well presented and capable of developing business, providing advice to our clients and executing high profile assignments;
- Language skills are highly desirable.
